1. Who is the controller of personal data

The controller of personal data is:

  • Company / business name: PENTASHOT EU s.r.o.
  • Registered office: Zámecká 2315/9, 702 00 Ostrava, Czech Republic
  • Company ID: 29388937
  • Email for privacy-related questions: contact@pentashot.com

2. What data the app processes

The PS Precision app is intended for connecting to Pentashot targets via Bluetooth and for local shooting evaluation. The app processes the following categories of data in particular:

  • Shooting history and training results, in particular the date and time of training, series, individual shots, their coordinates, shot time, score, and related metrics.
  • Training settings, for example target type, distance, series duration, number of series, result format, and number of shots.
  • Technical data about the connected target, for example device version, uptime, and device type.
  • Technical data about the Bluetooth connection, for example the device name and its identifier, if made available by the operating system or Bluetooth layer.
  • Temporary exports of results in the form of a screenshot if the user uses the sharing function.

The app does not process user registration, account data, name, email address, phone number, or payment data.

3. Why we process data

We process data for the following purposes:

  • to ensure the main functionality of the app, that is connecting to a Pentashot target, receiving shot data, and displaying results,
  • to store training history and user settings locally,
  • to display technical information about the connected device,
  • to allow the user to voluntarily share a result through the device’s system share sheet,
  • to ensure operation, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.

4. Legal basis for processing

We process data only to the extent necessary for the app to function.

  • Performance of a contract: to ensure connection to the Pentashot target, receipt of shot data, display of results, and storage of history and settings on the user’s device.
  • Legitimate interest: to ensure the security, stability, diagnostics, and proper functioning of the app.

If the user uses the result-sharing function, data will be processed to the extent necessary to carry out that user instruction.

5. Where and how data is stored

Data is stored primarily locally on the user’s device, in particular in the app’s internal storage.

  • Shooting history and training settings are stored locally in the app’s database.
  • Technical information about the connected device is stored only temporarily and is deleted when the app starts or when the device is disconnected.
  • A screenshot of a result for sharing is created temporarily in the device’s temporary directory.

The app itself does not implement a cloud account, backend API for result synchronization, analytics SDK, or advertising network.

6. Who data may be disclosed to

Data may be disclosed only to the extent necessary for operation of the app or based on the user’s choice:

  • to the connected Pentashot device via Bluetooth communication,
  • to the operating system provider and system services to the extent necessary for Bluetooth, data sharing, text-to-speech, or permission management,
  • to the app or service chosen by the user when sharing a screenshot of a result.

The app does not normally send shooting results to the controller’s own server.

7. How long we retain data

The following retention logic applies:

  • Shooting history and training settings are stored locally until the user removes the app’s data or uninstalls the app.
  • Technical information about the connected device is stored only temporarily during active use of the app and is deleted at app start or when the device is disconnected.
  • Temporary screenshots created for sharing are retained only temporarily depending on the behavior of the operating system and the target sharing app.

8. What permissions the app uses

The app may require the following permissions:

  • Bluetooth permissions to find and connect to Pentashot targets.
  • Location permission on Android if required by the operating system for Bluetooth Low Energy scanning.
  • Storage permission or corresponding system access to create and share a screenshot of a result.

The app does not use these permissions for marketing profiling or for tracking the user’s location on a map.

9. What rights the user has

Under applicable laws, the user may in particular have the following rights:

  • the right of access to personal data,
  • the right to rectification of inaccurate data,
  • the right to erasure,
  • the right to restriction of processing,
  • the right to object,
  • the right to data portability,
  • the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

As the app stores most data locally on the user’s device, some of these rights can in practice be exercised, for example, by deleting the app’s data or uninstalling the app.

10. Data security

The controller adopts appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect data. Data is primarily stored in the app space on the user’s device and is not normally sent to the controller’s own server. Access to data is limited by operating system functions, configured app permissions, and the user’s choices when using the device and sharing features.

11. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time if the app’s functions, the way data is processed, or legal requirements change. The current version of the policy will always be published through the controller’s currently used distribution and information channels.
